Berticot beats with tradition , authenticity of the land, and the passion of it’s wine-makers.

Through our affiliation with the “ Destination Vignoble” programme, and our passion for our appellation , the Berticot winery offers you a professional and warm welcome !

We signed up to the “ Destination Vignoble” charter in june 2007 in order for our clients to better discover our cave , our wines, and our AOC certification.

“Destination Vignoble” is the ideal programme for combining tourism and knowledge of wine, and through this charter Berticot proposes a light-hearted way to discover the Berticot wines involving tastings, and events that take place throughout the summer :

- « Vins et Tartines » : A visit to the winery followed by wine and regional food tastings.

- « Un Vigneron à votre table » : Wine tastings, held at various different restaurants, by the wine makers of Berticot.

- « Votre séjour au pays du vin » : passport to events such as a themed visit to the Duras château , tastings with the winegrowers of Berticot, and a visit to the village market held each Monday morning…

¦ DURAS CHATEAU

The Duras Chateau is symbolic of the architecture of the "cotes de duras"

In part of the chateau is a museum  dedicated to the cultures and history in the cotes de duras region.

It houses a collection of ancient objects and artifacts associated with the process of wine making from in and around duras.

Consequently, the chateau plays an important role in the village and surrounding areas, and many events and visits take place there all though the year.

You can take a tour of the chateau throughout the summer, and at the end of your visit you will be invited for a tasting of many of the wines of the duras region.
